Yi Wan-Gyo (1940-, Korea)
Yi Wan-Gyo¡¯s works are on
emptying the mind. It is not the eyes nor the ears but the heart and soul that
sees, listens and hears. This is how one can obtain the energy in the universe.
This old tradition and philosophy is portrayed in his works which reminds us of
calligraphic paintings, and through these works we hope people can find peace
and emotional balance in oneself.
Through his landscapes what he
sees is Nirvana. It is about emptying the three things, greed, anger and
foolishness and reaching the state of peace where there is true aura, and
forgetting about specific beings and becoming the source.
In Asia, black and white are the
basic colors of all colors. He works with these two colors and with different
tones shows the depth and shape. The black and white in Yi Wan Gyo¡¯s
photography is about the unless changes in the energy that exists in the
universe. Through eastern perspective and philosophy he tries to reach
peacefulness and enjoyment in silence.

Han Chung Shik (1937-, Korea)
Han Chung Shik¡¯s photography
tries to find object¡¯s value and meaning. His ¡®tranquility¡¯ series takes on
board an eastern philosophical perspective, on emptiness, and in order to reach
this state of emptiness one must take stages of restricting oneself and
separating oneself from others to reach a state of calm. His meditative works
go beyond changes and disappearance, and lead us to a state of calmness.

Ari Kakkinen (1966-, Finland)
Ari Kakkinen¡¯s works are a meeting point of eastern
and western philosophy where his works show eastern meditation through western
aesthetics. Place, space, being is all covered in white cloth, and only the
form exists. Those that are unseen become seen, and his works are a record of
symbolic mediation.

Eelco Brand (1969-, Netherland)
Eelco Brand creates a dream-like nature through a
process created by man. Through his works he tries to portray the freedom and
will that exists both in nature and human beings. He relies on imagination and
creates nature through digital technology, and the results are a dream-like
landscape that seems like reality but which does not exist in reality.
